Colin has been riding motorbikes for many years, and has been teaching off-road motorbike riding for twenty years. In the past he has competed in roadracing, motocross and enduros, and assisted at the Hafren Dirt Bike Club events. He has worked for the Yamaha Off Road Experience and E T Jamers, the KTM dealer in Rhayader. He enjoys track days on his Benelli Tornado Tre, and touring on his Moto Guzzi Stelvio. He is restoring an Alfa Romeo GTV1750, so you can gather he likes Italian! He is pictured on the Benelli.

Lucie

Lucie, aged 21, has been riding for 10 years and rides on road and trail. She is pictured riding a Husky TE250. She rides a Suzuki V-Strom on the road. While still on a restricted licence, she accompanied Colin touring France and Italy on a Honda CBF250 - not once but twice! She graduated in History in 2015, writing her dissertation on Women Motorcycle Racers in the Inter-War Years and 1950s, and obtained a Masters Degree in 2016 with her dissertation on Byways and Lost Roads. She is looking for work in the heritage or motorsport sectors.

Marianne has also been riding motorbikes for many years, both solos and sidecars, and has been teaching beginners and improvers since 1993. She is an active member of the Mid Wales TRF group, and used to compete as an enduro sidecar driver, mainly with Gerwyn Davies passengering. Their best result was third place in the Clubman Class of the British Sidecar Enduro Association's Championship in 2002. She competed in Weston Beach Race a few times with her oldest daughter Barbara passengering, and their best result was twenty second out of sixty six sidecar competitors. In 2012 she teamed up with Claire Duplock to race a twenty year old Formula 2 sidecar, a 1996 Baker Thundercat. In 2013 she spent too much money racing! So in 2014 Claire competed with another driver in the Historic Racing Club's BEARS championship, which they won! In 2015 Kerry Hughes teamed up with Marianne to compete in the FSRA Post Classic Championship, ending the season with fourth place. They retained their fourth place in 2016. 2017 started well, with second place after the first round at Oulton Park, but unfortunately then Marianne broke her arm and had to miss the next round.

"Thanks for the chance to have a go as a passenger on your outfit! I'm hooked, and hope to get a permanent ride next season."
